BlackBerry, a very well known ‘Business-First’ smartphone company has released their very first full-fledged Android smartphone (After the hilarious demise of BlackBerry OS). The BlackBerry Priv, was made available first in the UK, then the US, and finally made it’s way to India, and is priced at a hefty ₹62,999. The Priv has seen huge success since the launch as it was one of a kind Android smartphone, with the Sliding BlackBerry Keyboard, and all it’s software features. There have been rumors of a second Android smartphone from BlackBerry.
BlackBerry Priv Specs and Features
BlackBerry Priv has a 5.4-Inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa-Core Processor (10-core), which is clocked at 1.44GHz. The Priv has 3-GB of RAM accompanied by 32-GB of Internal Storage which can be expandable up to 200-GB via MicroSD card slot.
As mentioned before, the BlackBerry Priv runs on Android, 5.1.1 Lollipop to be exact. It comes with a lot of software security features within Android. The phone has a wopping 18-MP rear camera, and an interesting 2-MP front facing camera (Which is acceptable because, this phone is targeted at the business focused users who only use the front camera for a quick video call). The phone weighs in at 192-Grams and has a single Nano SIM slot. All of that is powered by a 3410mAh li-ion battery.
